What are the disadvantages of using the DND service?

DND service has proven useful as it prevents and protects users and subscribers from receiving text messages that they do not want to see on their devices. But still, some disadvantages are associated with DND service regardless. 

The sole aim of activating DND is to prevent you from receiving messages from third parties, and text messages such as BUlk SMS & VAS fall under this. But sometimes, It would not be a good idea for you to activate DND on your phone number because promotional and informational messages from businesses and organizations come as Bulk SMS.

And you would not know about the text messages or miss out on them if you are using the DND service. In essence, the DND service blocks your phone number from receiving bulk SMS that can be relevant to you. So in order not to be in the dark, it is not always advisable to activate DND. 

How to deactivate DND service for various Network providers

So if you are looking forward to deactivating DND services from either MTN, Airtel, Glo or 9mobile. This is how you can do it with ease. 

For MTN, Airtel and Glo Users,

You have to Send ‘ALLOW’ to 2442 and wait for 24 hours for it to be deactivated.

For 9mobile Users,

You have to Send ‘START’ to 2442 and wait for 24 hours for it to be deactivated.
