For a while now, sending SMS and delivering them successfully to all phone numbers has been a challenge. This is due to the Do Not Disturb (DND) policy that came into effect in 2016. With this policy, phone numbers that are active on it do not receive third-party messages.

1. The International Route 

We have an international route that is designed to treat SMS sent through it as though they are being sent from outside Nigeria to Nigeria through an international route. This route affords you the opportunity to avoid all the local policies that affect SMS delivery, DND inclusive. 1. The Transactional Bind or Bank Route 

This route is primarily designed for corporate organizations especially financial institutions who send personalized messages to individuals. This can be used to send time-sensitive messages like OTPs, transactional messages, delivery updates e.t.c. And this can also be used to deliver SMS to DND phone numbers effectively.

1. SIM Hosting 

The third very effective option for the delivery of SMS to phone numbers on DND is the SIM Hosting service. With the SIM Hosting service, you can have a SIM of any network hosted on a personal server dedicated for you in our data center. Hence, when you send SMS, the phone numbers on DND can be routed through the hosted SIM.

It would seem as though the Do Not Disturb (DND) service has come to stay. There is very little that can be done to change the policy.
