1. Fixed Sender ID Route for Phone Numbers on DND
It is a fact that the DND option in the Nigerian SMS space is the primary cause of non-delivery. To improve the quality of delivery, we have provided a connection that delivers to phone numbers on DND on all networks with the fixed Sender ID mAlert. You can use this option when sending out your messages to ensure delivery. Even if you have a hosted SIM, we still encourage you to use this option when you are sending out SMS to many recipients at once
2. Keep your message short
Messages kept to just one (1) page have a higher delivery rate than longer messages. We have the data to back this up. Additionally, a single-page message is easily consumed by the recipient and saves you money.
3. Keep your recipients list fresh
If you have been using the same list of phone numbers to reach out to your customer for some time, you will need to remove phone numbers that no longer return a DELIVERED status in the DLR. Your recipients might have misplaced and replaced their phone numbers in the course of time, or the phone numbers are no longer active. Use the delivery report of your past messages to filter your recipient list and focus on phone numbers that deliver. This step improves your delivery rate and saves you money in the long run.
4. Test before your send
Send a test SMS before you push your campaign. This test helps you proofread the message and look at the content in your inbox before sending the messages. It also provides real-time feedback on the message's deliverability before sending it out.
5. Keep your account well funded
After your campaign, nothing disappoints like getting a "message failed due to insufficient funds" DLR. When your SMS campaign fails to deliver due to insufficient funds, it is a lost opportunity to connect with your client, family, and loved ones.
