Picture Shola, a dedicated SmartSMS user. A few months ago she changed her SmartSMS account password because she felt it was too weak and she needed a stronger one. She logged out of her account without enabling the “remember me” feature. The next time she came back to access her account, she confidently put in her old password and received an error login prompt. She tried again, this time watching her hands carefully type in the characters, but the same message appeared. She paused for a while and then recollected that she had changed her password. She began searching files in her brain trying to remember the new password, all to no avail.
Losing access to your SmartSMS account can be frustrating. If you’ve spent crucial minutes trying to remember your lost password all to no avail and you don’t know what to do, this user guide is for you. By popular demand from our users, we have decided to make an article explaining how to retrieve your SmartSMS account. So let’s get into it.
You might not be able to access your account because of one of the following three reasons:
1. You have forgotten your password, just like Shola in the example above.
2. You do not have access to the email used to register your SmartSMS account.
3. Or lastly, your account has been hacked.
Regardless of the reasons mentioned above, we’ll provide useful suggestions to help you recover your SmartSMS account.
Procedure for Account Recovery.
1. Visit the SmartSMSSolutions login page at www.app.smartsmssolutions.com.
2. Click on ‘Forgot password’.
3. Enter the email linked to your SmartSMS account i.e the email you used to register or create the account.
4. Click on the ‘Reset’ button.
5. Check your email inbox for a reset password mail and click on the link to reset your password.
6. Enter a new password in the box provided for it.
7. Then re-enter the new password to confirm it.
8. Click “Enter”.
9. Go back to the SmartSMSSolutions log-in page and log in with the new password. (if you want the website to save your login parameters for future logins, check the ‘Remember me’ option)
If you forgot your password, the account recovery process is as simple and easy as that.
If you don’t have access to your email inbox you won’t be able to check for the reset password mail. If that is the case, you will need to first regain access to your email account before proceeding to recover your SmartSMS account. You can do this by asking your email provider to help you regain access to it. When you try to log in to your email account, there may be an option such as forgotten your password? or trouble with signing in? that will allow you to contact them or complete a request for extra support. You may have to provide details like your phone number, answers to security questions or other information to verify your access request.
